DECISION
Promulgating Criteria for classifying ethnic minority and mountainous Areas according to their development level
THE MINISTER-DIRECTOR OF THE COMMITTEE FOR NATIONALITIES
Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 51/2003/ND-CP of May 16, 2003, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Committee for Nationalities;
Pursuant to the Prime Minister's Document No. 1062/TTg-DP of August 1, 2005, approving and authorizing the Minister-Director of the Committee for Nationalities to issue a Decision on criteria for classifying ethnic minority and mountainous areas according to their development level;
At the proposal of the Director of the Department for Ethnic Policies,
DECIDES:
Article 1.- To issue together with this Decision the Regulation on criteria on special difficulty-hit villages (hamlets) and criteria for classifying communes (wards and townships) of ethnic minority and mountainous areas (Regions I, II and III) according to their development level.
This Regulation replaces the Regulation issued together with Circular No. 41/UB-TT of January 8, 1996, of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Regions (now the Committee for Nationalities).
Article 2.- This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in "CONG BAO."
Article 3.- Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of Government-attached agencies and presidents of provincial/municipal People's Committees shall have to implement this Decision.
