The Prime Minister issued this Decision to approve the planning on development of Hung Temple historical relic zone, Phu Tho province, till 2015, which aims to build and restore architectural works, monuments, temples and memorial towers compatible with the history and bearing national tradition indeity to memorialize and honor Hung kings, thus making this historical relic an attractive tourist destination and an important motive force for Phu Tho province's socio-economic development; to conserve, embellish and protect historical relics, national parks, landscapes and ecological environment of the zone under the development planning; and to improve material and spiritual life of the population in the planning zone and communes in the vicinity of Hung Temple.

With a total land area of around 1,000 hectares, Hung Temple historical relic zone, including its buffer zone, covers Hy Cuong, Chu Hoa, Tien Kien and Thanh Dinh communes of Lam Thao district; Kim Duc and Phu Ninh communes of Phu Ninh district; and Van Phu commune of Viet Tri district.

This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette.- (Summary)
