DECISION No. 26/2000/QD-TTg of February 23, 2000 on a number of regimes applicable to war resistance activists and their offspring, who were infected with chemical toxins used by Americans during the Vietnam war
Subjects entitled to the allowance regime under this Decision include:
- Officers and men of revolutionary armed forces, officials of Party and/or civilian organizations, youth volunteers engaged in work, combat and/or combat services in areas sprayed with chemical toxins by Americans during the Vietnam war from August 1961 to April 30, 1975, who are not enjoying allowances for war invalids, diseased soldiers or entitllements like for war invalids, and are infected at the following level:
+ Getting serious diseases because of being infected with chemical toxins, losing working capacity.
+ Getting diseases because of being infected with chemical toxins, which result in the decrease of their working capacity.
- Alive children of the above-mentioned subjects were infected at the following level:
+ Being seriously deformed, disabled, incapable of working and self-help in daily life.
+ Being deformed, disabled, incapable of working but being capable for self-help in daily life.
This Decision also stipulates in detail allowance levels, funding sources for payment of the above-mentioned allowances.-
