RESOLUTION No. 02/2005/NQ-CP of February 3, 2005 on the Government’s January 2005 regular meeting

On January 26-28, 2005, the Government held its January regular meeting, where:

- The Home Affairs Minister presented a report on the 2004 administrative reform and the 2005 administrative reform plan as well as the Government’s 2005 public inspection program; the Government General Inspector presented the Government’s 2005 program on corruption prevention and combat; and the Finance Minister presented the Government’s 2005 thrift practice and wastefulness combat program;

- The Minister of Public Security presented the People’s Public Security Bill;

- The general director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism presented the Tourism Bill;

- The Defense Minister presented the Bill Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Military Service;

- The Natural Resources and Environment Minister presented the Environmental Protection Bill (amended) and the Bill Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Minerals;

- The Minister-Director of the Committee for Population, Family and Children presented the Government’s draft decree detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Child Protection, Care and Education;

- The Planning and Investment Minister presented a report on production, export, investment and socio-economic situation in January 2005; the Trade Minister presented a report on the trade situation in January 2005 and forecasts on the markets in the first quarter of 2005.- (Summary)
