Decision No.355-TTg of May 28, 1996 of the Prime Minister on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Department for the Prevention and Fight against Floods and Storms and Dyke Management under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The Department for Prevention and Fight against Floods and Storms and Dyke Management shall assist the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development in performing the function of State management over the prevention and fight against floods and storms and dykes in the whole country.
The Department shall also act as the Standing Office of the Central Steering Committee for Prevention and Fight against Floods and Storms as well as the Standing Office of the National Committee for the "International Decade for the Reduction of Natural Calamities".- (Summary)
