DIRECTIVE No.07/1999/CT-TTg of April 14, 1999 on the task of flood and storm prevention and combat as well as natural calamity reduction in 1999

In order to cope with all contingencies in the event of storms or floods and minimize the damage caused by the natural calamities, the Prime Minister urges the ministries, the ministerial-level agencies, the agencies attached to the Government and the People�s Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities to, within their respective functions and tasks, perform the following tasks: Drawing up plans and optional plans for flood and storm prevention and combat and natural calamity reduction in 1999; perfecting the organization of the steering boards for flood and storm prevention and combat at all levels and branches; intensifying the dike inspection and management, meteorological and hydrological forecast; preparing forces and means for flood and storm prevention and combat; etc.- (Summary)
