DECISION

Suspending the temporary import for re-export of finished wood products via Vietnam to the United States and requiring the Trade Ministry's permits for the temporary import for re-export of sassafras oil

THE MINISTER OF TRADE

Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 29/2004/ND-CP of January 16, 2004, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Trade;

Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 12/2006/ND-CP of January 23, 2006, detailing the implementation of the Commercial Law concerning international trading activities and activities of goods purchase and sale agency, processing and transit with foreign partners;

Pursuant to the Prime Minister's instructions in the Government Office's Document No. 1605/VPCP-KTTH of March 29, 2006, on the management of goods temporarily imported for re-export and transferred from border gate to border gate, and after reaching agreement with the Ministry of Public Security in Document No. 987/V11 (VPU) of June 8, 2006, on the coordinated management of trading in sassafras oil,

DECIDES:

Article 1.- To continue suspending the temporary import for re-export of finished wood products via Vietnam to the United States.

Article 2.- The temporary import for re-export of sassafras oil shall require the Trade Ministry's permits.

Article 3.- To annul the Trade Minister's Decision No. 1318/2005/QD-BTM of April 29, 2005, annulling the Trade Minister's Decision No. 971/2004/QD-BTM of July 14, 2004, suspending the temporary import for re-export and border-gate transfer of finished wood products and the conditions for import of semi-finished wood products for processing and production of export goods.

Article 4.- This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in "CONG BAO."
