DECREE No. 09/2005/ND-CP of January 27, 2005 on sanctions against administrative violations in the field of inland waterway traffic

According to this Decree, administrative violations in the field of inland waterway traffic include:

- Violations of the regulations on management and protection of inland waterway traffic infrastructures;

- Violations of the regulations on inland waterway means;

- Violations of the regulations on crewmembers, means operators;

- Violations of the regulations on traffic rules and means signals;

- Violations of the regulations on operation of inland ports and wharves, and inland waterway transport.

Each violation act may be subject to caution, fine of between VND 50,000 and VND 30 million, additional sanctioning forms and remedial measures.

This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette and replaces Chapter VII of the Government’s Decree No. 40/CP of July 5, 1996, which was amended and supplemented by Decree No. 77/1998/ND-CP of September 26, 1998.- (Summary)
