DECISION No. 19/2003/QD-BGDDT of May 8, 2003 promulgating the programs on the study subjects of Marxist-Leninist philosophy, Marxist-Leninist political economy (for economics-business administration disciplines) and Marxist-Leninist political economy (for non-specialized economics-business administration disciplines) for college degree

Under the programs promulgated together with this Decision, the Marxist-Leninist philosophy study subject for college degree aims to:

- Provide students in a relatively systematic manner with basic contents on Marxist-Leninist philosophy’s world outlook and methodology;

- Help students initially apply Marxist-Leninist philosophy’s basic principles to the research into specific sciences and the analysis of practical issues in daily life.

The Marxist-Leninist political economy study subject for economics-business administration disciplines for college degree aims to:

- Provide students in a systematic and selective manner with the Marxist-Leninist political economy study subject’s basic knowledge;

- Help students acquire scientific grounds to understand and explain the Party’s and State’s economic guidelines and policies in the period of transition to socialism, and belief with scientific grounds in the Party’s leadership and socialism’s inevitable victory;

- Together with other science study subjects, further foster world outlook, methodology and economic thinking of a bachelor of economics.

The Marxist-Leninist political economy study subject for non-specialized economics-business administration disciplines for college degree aims to:

- Provide students in a relatively systematic and selective manner with the Marxist-Leninist political economy study subject’s fundamentals;

- Help students grasp the Party’s basic viewpoints on economic guidelines and policies in the period of transition to socialism, create unanimity and consolidate their confidence in the Party’s leadership and socialism’s inevitable victory;

- Continue fostering world outlook, methodology and economic thinking, apply economic-political knowledge to the analysis of economic, social and practical issues of the country and of the disciplines which the students are trained in.- (Summary)
