As from January 1, 2004, the pension levels provided for in Decree No. 03/2003/ND-CP of January 15, 2003 and currently enjoyed by pensioners who retired under Decree No. 218/CP of December 27, 1961, Decree No. 161/CP of October 30, 1964 of the Government, and Decree No. 236/HDBT of September 18, 1985 of the Council of Ministers (now the Government) shall be increased by 7% or 9% (for persons who held leading posts before the retirement).

This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette.- (Summary)
