DIRECTIVE NoDIRECTIVE No.1043/1997/CT-TTg of December 6, 1997 on the examination of foreign language and external relation policy knowledge of the officials working in the Vietnamese representation offices in foreign countries.
The ministries, the ministerial-level agencies, the agencies attached to the Government, the provinces and cities directly under the Central Government when sending their officials to work on long-term missions in the Vietnamese representation offices in foreign countries, shall have to apply measures for examining professional and foreign language levels of such officials.
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs shall have to organize the examination of foreign language and external relations policy knowledge of State officials and employees of all branches before they are appointed to work in overseas representation offices of Vietnam as prescribed by the Ordinance on the Representations of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Foreign Countries.- (Summary)
