On the Government’s March 2007 regular meeting

On April 5 and 6, the Government held its March regular meeting where it discussed a Government’s plan of action for the implementation of the 4th plenum of the Xth Party Central Committee on Vietnam’s sea strategy up to 2020, presented by the Planning and Investment Minister; a scheme on development of Vietnam’s capital market up to 2010, and orientations toward 2020, presented by the Finance Minister; a draft decree on inspector and inspection collaborators, presented by the Government Inspector General; a draft scheme on adjustment of the minimum wage level and the roadmap for the application of a common minimum wage level in enterprises of all types in the 2008-2010 period, presented by the Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Minister; a draft decree on encouraging trade development in difficulty-hit areas, presented by the Trade Minister; a draft Regulation on the supply of information to press, presented by the Culture and Information Minister; several reports on administrative reform in the first quarter of 2007, presented by the Home Affairs Minister and the People’s Committees of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh cities; and reports on the management of urban construction, presented by the Construction Minister and the People’s Committees of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh cities; reports on socio-economic situation, trade situation and corruption prevention and combat in March and the first quarter of 2007, presented by the Planning and Investment Minister, the Trade Minister and the Government Inspector General, respectively.- (Summary)
