The Central Institute for Economic Research and Management is a national institute under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, functioning to research into and propose institutions, policies, plans, economic manage-ment mechanisms, business environment and economic reforms; organize scientific research, training and fostering of economic management officials and organize consultancy activities according to law provisions.

The Institute is a scientific non-business unit, having the legal person status, its own seal and accounts, and autonomously operating under law provisions.

This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette, annulling the Planning and Investment Minister's Decision No. 17/BKH/TCCB of November 29, 1995 on the functions, tasks and organizational structure of the Central Institute for Economic Research and Management.- (Summary)
