The Regulation on the exploitation of timbers and other forestry products, issued together with this Decision, prescribes the State management in the field of forest regulation, exploitation design and exploitation of timbers and other forestry products in natural forests and planted forests being production forests or protection forests; and full exploitation and use of timbers and other forestry products in forestry land of all types and other land.

It shall not apply to special-use forests.

This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette and replaces Decision No. 02/1999/QD-BNN-PTLN of January 5, 1999 and supplements Clause 3, Article 15 of Decision No. 69/2001/QD-BNN-KL of June 6, 2001 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and Directive No. 15/LS-CNR of July 19, 1989 and Directive No. 03/LS-CNR of February 8, 1994 of the Minister of Forestry.- (Summary)
