Decision No. 122/1999/QD-TTg of May 10, 1999 promulgating the Regulation on criteria and norms for use of cars in administrative and non-business agencies and State enterprises

The State management agencies, non-business agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations (administrative and non-business agencies) which are allocated operating funds by the State budget and the State enterprises specified in this Decision shall be equipped or provided with cars or entitled to purchase cars for transport of their officials and for official duties.

Cars used in administrative and non-business agencies and State enterprises subject to the Regulation promulgated together with this Decision include cars with 15 seats or less and cars for specialized use procured with the State budget funds or those originated from the State budget (including cars given as aids, gifts or donations by Vietnamese and foreign organizations and individuals, those over which the State ownership has been established according to the provisions of law, and those transferred from the terminated projects or programs to the concerned administrative and non-business agencies), and cars procured with capital sources of the State enterprises.

Cars used in service of working requirements of administrative and non-business agencies and State enterprises shall be managed and used according to the criteria, norms and price levels prescribed in this Regulation and other relevant regulations.

This Regulation specifies the posts and titles eligible for being provided with cars, the posts and titles eligible for regular use of cars while in office of a domestically assembled car with the maximum brand-new purchasing price of 600 million VND/car, and the posts and titles eligible for use of a domestically assembled car with the maximum brand-new purchasing price of 500 million VND/car; the criteria and norms for cars for common use in administrative and non-business agencies and State enterprises.- (Summary)
