Promulgated together with this Decision is the Regulation on the Environment Award, which shall serve as basis for ministries, branches, localities as well as organizations and individuals to make dossiers of application for award presentation.

Environment Award constitutes a form of commendation presented by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment to domestic organizations and individuals, overseas Vietnamese, foreign organizations and individuals as well as international organizations that record many achievements in the cause of protection of Vietnam's environment.

This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette and replaces Decision No. 05/2001/QD-BKHCNMT of April 11, 2001 of the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment on the Environment Award.- (Summary)
