Vietnam Maritime Administration (VINAMARINE) is an organization under the Ministry of Communications and Transport, performing the specialized maritime State management function nationwide according to law provisions.

It has the legal person status and seal bearing the national emblem, enjoys State budget allocations, has its accounts at the State Treasury, and is headquartered in Hanoi.

VINAMARINE is composed of 14 organizations assisting the Director, 3 Maritime Sub-Departments, provincial/municipal Port Authorities, and 4 dependent non-business units.
