At its meeting on April 23, 1996, the Government discussed and approved the strategic orientations for public health care and protection in 1996-2000 period and national medicament policies.

The Government requests the ministries, the agencies attached to the Government, the People�s Committees of different levels to organize the implementation of the policies and measures on public health care and protection, which shall be concretized in the two following legal documents:

- Strategic orientations for public health care and protection from now to the year 2000 and 2020.

- National medicament policies.

The Ministry of Health is responsible for elaborating a detailed plan to direct and urge different levels and branches to implement this Resolution.- (Summary)
