Issued together with this Decision is the Regulation on automobile technical maintenance and repair, which prescribes automobile technical maintenance and repair for the uniform automobile maintenance and repair regimes under Vietnam’s exploitation conditions in order to meet technical safety and environmental protection standards, and ensure traffic participation conditions for motorized vehicles.

Automobile maintenance includes the cleaning, diagnosis, inspection, adjustment, tightening, oil and grease filling, cooling water and battery-solution adding.

Automobile repair includes the inspection, diagnosis, disassembly, assembly, adjustment and restoration of details, replacement of detail assemblies and frames of automobiles.

This Regulation applies to assorted automobiles, semi-trailers and trailers participating in land-road traffic.- (Summary)
