The Prime Minister instructs the ministries, the ministerial-level agencies, the agencies attached to the Government and the People�s Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities to well perform the following tasks:
- To review, evaluate and draw experiences from the work of flood and storm prevention and combat, as well as natural disaster reduction in 2000; work out detailed plans and strategies on flood and storm prevention and combat as well as natural disaster reduction in 2001, ensuring the unified and synchronous action from the provincial to district and communal levels, especially in key areas.
- To strengthen the organization of steering boards for flood prevention and combat at various levels, of various branches; organize refresher courses, and rehearse set plans on flood, storm and calamity prevention and combat.
- To consolidate to communications networks, alarming and forecasting systems so as to ensure the smooth communications in all circumstances; strictly observe the on-duty regime during flood and storm season.
The Prime Minister also gives instructions on other specific tasks which fall under the responsibility of the provincial/municipal People�s Committees, ministries and central branches in the work of flood and storm prevention and combat, as well as natural disaster reduction in 2001.- (Summary)
