DECREE No. 86/1998/ND-CP of October 24, 1998 stipulating the People's Police service flag, emblem, rank badges, insignia and uniform

The service flag of the People's Police shall be used in parades and meetings to mark national anniversaries and traditional days, or for display in museums and service tradition houses.

The uniform, emblems, rank badges and insignia of the People's Police are made for exclusive use by police officers and personnel on duty according to the regulations. Agencies, units, organizations and individuals are strictly forbidden to illegally produce, store, trade and use emblems, rank badges, insignia and uniform of the People's Police. Any violations shall be handled according to law.- (Summary)
