RESOLUTION

On April 26-28, 2006, the Government held its April regular meeting, where it heard:

- The Planning and Investment Minister's socio-economic development plan for the 2006-2010 period and report on the management and use of state budget investment capital;

- The Natural Resources and Environment Minister's land use plan for the 2006-2010 period;

- The Vietnam State Bank Governor's scheme on credit policies towards mountainous Regions 2 and 3, islands, areas inhabited by Khmer people, mountainous traders and communes covered by Program 135;

- The Finance Minister's scheme on development investment credit and export credit and the establishment of the Vietnam Development Bank;

- The Industry Minister's report on population relocation and resettlement under Tuyen Quang hydropower project;

- The Minister-Director of the Government Office presenting a scheme on organization, tasks, powers and working regulation of the Central Steering Committee for corruption prevention and combat;

- The Defense Minister presenting the draft ordinance amending a number of articles of the Ordinance on Mobilized Reserve Forces.

The Government also examined the Planning and Investment Minister's report on socio-economic situation and report on production, business, service and investment situation in April and the first four months of 2006; the Trade Minister’s report on trade situation in April 2006; and the Government Inspector General's report on inspection work and settlement of complaints and denunciations in the first quarter of 2006.- (Summary)
