To set up the Advisory Council for national financial and monetary policies to advise the Government and the Prime Minister on mapping out and deciding important issues regarding financial and monetary policies, which fall within the tasks and powers of the Government and the Prime Minister.

The Advisory Council for national financial and monetary policies is composed of the chairman being Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; 3 vice chairmen, 12 members and 1 general secretary, who are leaders of a number of the concerned ministries and branches as well as several economic, financial and monetary specialists.- (Summary)
