The State Steering Committee for migration and resettlement of population under Son La hydro-electric power project shall be composed of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Cong Tan as its head; 2 deputy heads and members being representatives of the concerned ministries and branches.

The State Steering Committee for migration and resettlement of population under Son La hydro-electric power project is tasked:

- To direct the building of the model of sedentarization zones in order to draw experience and propose mechanisms and policies for the management and implementation of population relocation and resettlement suitable to each locality.

- To direct ministries, branches and local authorities and coordinate with mass organizations in implementing relocation and resettlement of households under Son La hydro-electric power project.

- To guide, urge and inspect the ministries, branches and localities in implementing migration and resettlement, ensuring stability in people�s production and life.- (Summary)
