To promulgate the water areas of the seaports located within the geographical area of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province as well as their seawards boundaries determined by the highest tidal level. Apart from the said water areas, Vung Tau seaport authority also has the responsibility to perform the specialized State management over maritime order and safety in Vietnamese sea areas within Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Thuan, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh and Soc Trang provinces.

This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette and replaces the Communications and Transport Minister's Decision No. 1635/QD-PCVT of August 18, 1993 on the water area of Vung Tau seaport and the area under responsibility of Vung Tau seaport authority and previous stipulations contrary to this Decision.- (Summary)
