RESOLUTION

Assigning People’s Courts of districts, towns and provincial cities to adjudicate criminal cases specified in Clause 1, Article 170 of the Criminal Procedure Code and to handle civil cases and matters specified in Article 33 of the Civil Procedure Code

Under this Resolution, as from August 1, 2006, the People’s Courts of 117 districts, towns and provincial cities shall be competent to adjudicate criminal cases specified in Clause 1, Article 170 of the Criminal Procedure Code and to handle civil cases specified in Article 33 of the Civil Procedure Code; the People’s Courts of 60 districts, towns and provincial cities shall be empowered to adjudicate criminal cases specified in Clause 1, Article 170 of the Criminal Procedure Code, and the People’s Courts of 24 districts, towns and provincial cities shall be assigned to handle civil cases specified in Article 33 of the Civil Procedure Code.- (Summary)
