Decision No. 1211/1999/QD-BGTVT of May 20, 1999 on the management of cross-river quays

The cross-river quays stipulated in this Decision are places reserved for landing and departure of cross-river transport means.

The Decision stipulates conditions and procedures for granting permits to open cross-river quays; as well as the safety conditions for operation of the quays, means and means operators.

If wishing to open a cross-river quay, the People’s Committee of the concerned commune, ward or township shall submit an application therefor to the provincial/municipal Communications and Transport Service. After obtaining the permit, the commune People’s Committee may assign organizations and/or individuals to invest in the construction and exploitation of the cross-river quay, organize a bid for the construction and exploitation of such a quay, or directly invest in the quay construction and organize a bid for the exploitation thereof.- (Summary)
