DECREE NoDECREE No. 64/2003/ND-CP of June 11, 2003 amending and supplementing the Governments Decree No. 174/1999/ND-CP of December 9, 1999 on management of gold business activities
This Decree amends and supplements the following articles of Decree No. 174/1999/ND-CP:
- To annul Article 7 on the competence to adjust the legal capital level;
- To amend Article 8 on conditions for, and scope of, gold business activities;
- To amend Article 9 on production of gold plates;
- To amend Article 11 on import and export of jewelry and fine-art gold;
- To amend and supplement Article 12 on import and export of raw material and gold plates.
According to the amended contents, organizations and individuals, that wish to conduct gold sale and purchase and/or production and processing of jewelry and fine-art gold, must fully meet the following conditions:
- Making business registration according to law provisions;
- Having material and technical bases as well as equipment which satisfy the requirements of gold purchase and sale and/or production and processing of jewelry and fine-art gold;
- Employing professionally qualified workers who satisfy the requirements of gold purchase and sale and/or production and processing of jewelry and fine-art gold.
Gold-trading organizations and individuals that sign gold-processing contracts with foreign countries shall be permitted by the State Bank to import raw material gold in forms of bars, ingots, granules or plates for the performance of the processing contracts.- (Summary)
