Voluntary medical insurance applies to all Vietnamese citizens (except for those having compulsory medical insurance cards and under-six children) according to the objectives and principles defined in the Medical Insurance Regulation issued together with the Government’s Decree No. 63/2005/ND-CP of May 16, 2005.

This Joint Circular takes effect 15 days after its publication in "CONG BAO," annulling Joint Circular No. 77/2003/TTLT/BTC-BYT of August 7, 2003.

Particularly, Point 1, Section III of Joint Circular No. 77/2003/TTLT/BTC-BYT shall still be effective to the end of December 31, 2005.- (Summary)
