DECISION No. 200/1998/QD-TTg of October 14, 1998 on the setting up of the Government's Steering Committee for Administrative Reform
To set up the Government's Steering Committee for Administrative Reform which is composed of the Prime Minister as its Head; Mr. Nguyen Khanh, former Deputy Prime Minister as its Deputy Head; the Minister-Head of the Government Commission for Organization and Personnel as its standing member; and the Minister-Director of the Government Office and the Minister of Justice as its members.
The Steering Committee has the following tasks:
- To study and prepare, then submit to the Government for decision annual and periodical programs and plans for directing the administrative reform;
- To assist the Government in studying the important administrative reform tasks and policies of the ministries, the ministerial-level agencies, the agencies attached to the Government and the People's Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities;
- To assist the Prime Minister in guiding, monitoring and inspecting the ministries, the ministerial-level agencies, the agencies attached to the Government and the People's Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities in the performance of the administrative reform tasks already approved.- (Summary)
