DECISION
Promulgating the regulation on quality, technical safety and environmental protection inspection of motor vehicles imported into vietnam
THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT
Pursuant to Articles 48 and 50 of the June 29, 2001 Law on Road Traffic;
Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 34/2003/ND-CP of April 4, 2003, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Transport Ministry;
Pursuant to Point d, Clause 1 of Article 23; Clause 1 of Article 25 and Article 27 of the Government's Decree No. 179/2004/ND-CP of October 21, 2004, stipulating the state management of quality of products and goods;
At the proposals of the director of the Vietnam Register, the director of the Science and Technology Department and the director of the Legal Department,
DECIDES:
Article 1.- To promulgate together with this Decision the Regulation on quality, technical safety and environmental protection inspection of motor vehicles imported in Vietnam.
Article 2.- This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in "CONG BAO" and replaces the Transport Minister's Decision No. 1944/1999/QD-BGTVT of August 7, 1999, promulgating the Regulation on quality and technical safety inspection of road motor vehicles imported into Vietnam.
Article 3.- The director of the Vietnam Register shall coordinate with the Science and Technology Department in guiding, organizing and inspecting the implementation of this Decision.
Article 4.- The director of the Office, the director of the Science and Technology Department, the director of the Legal Department, the director of the Transportation Department, the director of the Vietnam Road Administration, the director of the Vietnam Register, the directors of provincial/municipal Transport/Communications and Public Works Services and the heads of concerned agencies and units shall have to implement this Decision.
