To establish the State Steering Board on Tourism to assist the Prime Minister in directing and regulating tourist activities.

The State Steering Board on Tourism shall be headed by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Manh Cam.

The State Steering Board on Tourism shall assist the Prime Minister in:

- Directing and regulating activities of the relevant ministries, branches and localities in the elaboration and organization of implementation of the national plans and programs on tourism development in each economic development period; settling inter-branch matters and obstacles between the concerned ministries, branches and localities in the course of implementation of the above-said tourist plans and programs as well as the obstacles related to the State�s policies and laws on tourism development.

- Directing, guiding, inspecting and urging the relevant ministries, branches and localities in the elaboration and implementation of the detailed plans and programs on tourism development within their respective branches or localities, in line with the national plans and programs.

- Directing the ministries, branches, localities and mass media agencies in the dissemination of the national programs on tourism development inside and outside the country; and popularizing the State�s lines, policies and laws on tourism.- (Summary)
