Decision No.354-TTg of May 28, 1996 of the Prime Minister on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Water Resources and Irrigation Works Management Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The Water Resources and Irrigation Works Management Department shall assist the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development in performing the function of State management over water resources, including water for daily life in rural areas (except for raw mineral water and geo-thermal water), over irrigation works and the exploitation and all-round development of rivers in the whole country.- (Summary)
